Beginner's Guide & Tips
Town of Sins eases you in gently, but the game has real depth under the surface. Whether you are here for the story, the collection or the Arena, these pages will get you started on the right foot.
Your first hours in town
The game walks you through the basics with a short tutorial, and then the town is yours. Follow the Adventure line first: it introduces the districts, hands you your early cards and explains transformations as you go. Do not rush past the dialogue — the story is half the entertainment, and it tells you which girls matter to the plot.
Spend your early resources wisely. Leveling costs Viagra, which you earn in Adventures, so use it on the cards you actually fight with rather than the whole collection. Bucks come from the Arena, and you will want them for fusions and combo research later.
Building your first deck
The game recommends a deck of twenty cards, and that number is a good target even when you own far more. Balance is the key: keep a roughly equal number of character and item cards so your combo options stay open, and slot in a couple of Residents when you need a tougher line of defence. Residents cannot combine with items, but their health pools and defensive skills win wars of attrition.
Think about skills, not just rarity. A mythic card with the wrong skill set can lose to a well-placed rare. Read what every card does, and build around combinations you can actually use rather than the shiniest cards you own.
Leveling and fusion
Two systems make your cards stronger. Card level, shown as a number, raises health, attack and the numeric values of skills, and sometimes unlocks new skills entirely — it costs Viagra to upgrade. Card fusion, shown as stars, gives the big power jumps: gather the required number of identical cards, spend Bucks, and the card's power and health climb steeply. Fusion is limited by the card's level, so upgrade first, fuse second.
A practical rule: fuse your main fighters as soon as you can afford it, and keep leveling the cards that appear in your combos. The combo itself grows stronger when its parts grow stronger.
Five tips from experienced players
- Learn your combos early. Combos are the strongest tools in the game. Investigate in the Workshop as soon as you have a character and a matching item, and upgrade combo stones daily in the Crusade.
- Follow the weekly Arena season. Each season favours one of the five harems. Even a modest deck can climb the leaderboard if it leans into the featured harem.
- Do your daily tasks. The Butt Pass and the daily events add up quickly. Regular play earns cards and currencies that casual logging-in misses.
- Save event currencies for mythic cards. Event rewards include epic, legendary and mythic cards. Hoarding for the big prize beats spending on mid-tier filler.
- Keep your deck balanced. Twenty cards, equal parts characters and items, and a Resident or two for defence — this simple formula carries you through most of the Adventure.
The weekly rhythm
Once you are settled, the game runs on a comfortable loop. New updates arrive every two weeks with events, districts, cards and battle combos. The Arena resets weekly with a new featured harem. The Crusade rotates through the harems day by day, each day offering Combo Upgrade Stones for a different group. And events, running one to two weeks at a time, bring the exclusive cards that define the endgame.
Set yourself a simple routine: clear the daily Crusade, check the event, do your Arena battles, spend your resources. Ten focused minutes a day keeps your collection growing, and the bi-weekly updates give you something new to chase.
